Love Offerings, 2nd Annual Christmas Party!Do your Christmas Shopping with us! We have some of the most unique and creative crafts, gifts and jewelry for sale as part of our Christmas Market. A portion of all proceeds will go directly to the children.
Dear Friends,
This year we are inviting each and every one of you to share your Christmas spirit by helping us support children orphaned by Aids in Embu, Kenya.
The idea is a simple one; bring your friends and family to our party for your holiday gathering and we will provide the food, live music, entertainment and a fabulous venue with plenty of room for all. With those funds that would customarily go for wine or a small gift for the host/hostess, we ask that it go instead toward the purchase of a ticket.
For only $30, not only will you have a great evening but you will have the satisfaction of knowing you have helped to feed, clothe, house and educate the many beautiful children of this project for yet another year. For tickets call Natalie @ (416) 964-3380 or write natalie@pcwf.ca. Price $30.
Visa, MasterCard and Amex accepted. A tax receipt is available for all donations of $30 or more. If you are unable to attend, please consider making a donation. You can do that directly on-line by clicking, Donate online to Acacia, located to your left. (Free parking along Broadview, Mortimer and side streets after 6pm)

Featuring, Moanin' BonesSince early '93, Moanin' Bones, made up of individuals from a variety of musical backgrounds, began performing. The core members, Singer, Susan Bryant and Keyboard Artist, Helen Vukovich remain eclectic, with their influences panning from old school jazz to modern pop. When combined with their innovative arrangements and strong original material, Susan's powerful and moving voice demands emotion from the listener. The Bones have been involved in a number of AIDS related benefits from it's inception. While still playing their music for the Toronto club scene from ime to time, they continue to support the cause. Helen and Susan's latest cause being The Acacia Children's Project, in support of children orphaned by AIDs in Embu, Kenya. To date, they've recorded an independent, 6 song CD with the likes of Sonia Jung, a "principle violinist" with the Toronto Symphony and Norman Orenstein, lead guitarist of Molly Johnson's "Infidels" and now film and television composer. If you listen to the tracks, you'll hear Norm's signature guitar throughout. Although the CD has never been publicly release, you can hear some of their pieces on various Canadian film soundtracks. Moanin' Bones have continued to write, always adding new material to their repertoire, and a new recording project is now in the works.

Magic of Nature by Michelle Josephi![]() |

Returning is the name of this peice. Made of Charcoal Clay. At its sidest point it is 17 inches in diameter. 3.5 inches deep, 11 lbs in weight with custom glaze. Multiple textures and colours, organic watery wave sides, deep grooves of woody branches contrasted with vines and leaves on top. Returning has a fracture (only visible in the back) which lead the piece on a journey to return to the 'fire' (kiln) for the 3rd time, furthering its transmutation. This is also when an additional application of the vines and leaves was incorporated. Thus the energy and symbolism of the piece - Buddha nature - returning to nature.
