Dolls for Adoption

One of the ways in which we raise funds and provide the children of Acacia with something tangible from Canada is through our "Dolls for Adoption" program.
Through this program individuals, groups, organizations and schools can purchase knitted dolls for $20.00 each. The dolls are then 'adopted' by a donor who signs his/her name on a gift tag to be attached to the doll. A child in Kenya is then selected to receive the doll and his/her name is added as the recipient of the gift.
Along with the dolls, the $20 goes directly toward providing food, shelter, clothing, tuition and school uniforms for the children of Acacia. The money and the dolls are personally hand delivered to our Partners in Embu, Kenya by the project coordinator, Dr. Njoki Wane (University of Toronto)on her work/ visits.
The dolls are generously and kindly knitted at no charge by Dorothy Reid, a 'Friend of Acacia':

You can also purchase a doll as a Christmas gift for a child you know or they make adorable stocking stuffers.
